Do I have to bring my child to the meeting point on the mountain every day?

Advanced: Mountain station of the Panorama cable car
Beginners: Fischbacher practice lift

If you do not ski yourself, you can book the free mountain/valley transfer from the 2nd day of the course. Please book the mountain/valley transfer upon your arrival when you collect your course ticket.

My child is sick. Is it enough if I just inform the ski instructor?

If you need to cancel the course due to illness, we kindly ask you to do so by phone by 08:30 in the morning by phone AND by Email.

Upon presentation of a medical certificate, i.e., after personal release of the course slot, the difference between the days consumed and the days booked will be refunded.

Can I contact the ski instructor by phone?

If your child is attending the ski course and you have an important message, please contact the office. We will inform the ski instructor.

I have booked a ski or snowboard course online. Do I need to come to the ski school office before the course starts?

Please come to our booking office 1 day before the course starts, or at the latest 1 hour before the course starts, to pick up your course ticket.
Along with the course ticket, you will receive the children's safety vest and a flyer with the course times.

Can I book a full-day ski course with lunch supervision?

The Panorama course offerings are as follows:
Minis 4 - 5 years 2h course
Children from 5 - 14 years 3h course
We do not offer lunch supervision.

Do I need a ski pass as a beginner?

The ski courses for beginners take place at the practice lift Fischbacher in the valley, provided there is sufficient snow.

Can I book the ski pass at the Panorama ski school?

No. Please check with your landlord or with the Grossarl mountain lifts.

Do the booked ski course days have to be consecutive?

Basically, yes. It makes sense to redeem the days consecutively, as the learning program builds on each day. Advanced children/adults can skip a day. If beginners skip, this may result in them not being able to keep up in the course. The unconsumed day cannot be postponed or replaced.

My child is 5 years old and has never skied before. Should I book the 2-hour ski course for minis or the 3-hour ski course?

On the first day of the course, beginners are divided by age into groups with 10 children/3 instructors. All children start in a secured area.

Those who can brake switch groups and are allowed to use the plate lift. From this point on, the following applies:

  • Ski course for minis aged 4-5 years with a maximum of 6 children/group/2h
  • Ski course for beginners from age 5 with a maximum of 9 children/group/3h

Progress in learning is as varied as the children themselves. It may be that your child still needs intensive care with 10 children/3 instructors on the second day of the course. Then, the mini ski course is just right. Otherwise, assignment to the 3-hour course is completely unproblematic.

My child is 5 years old and has already taken 3 skiing courses. Can I book the advanced course?

If the child has already skied in the current season, then book the 3h advanced skiing course. If the child skied last winter and you do not have the opportunity to practice with the child before the course starts, then we recommend the beginners skiing course.

Note:
The advanced children's skiing courses start on Sunday at 12:00 PM. (Monday-Friday from 09:45 AM)
You can practice at the mountain station of the Panoramabahn at the T-bar lift on Sunday morning. Requirement for the advanced skiing course on the mountain: Level K8, confident plough turn on easy blue slopes.

My 4-year-old child has already attended a ski course this season and can ski. Is there a ski course for 4-year-olds at the ski resort on the mountain?

Great, there are only a few children who can ski so well at the age of 4. The disadvantage: Due to the few course participants, ski lessons in groups with peers on the mountain do not take place. (Exception: from January 10th, when the local kindergarten is being taught) Especially at this age, it is important that the lessons take place with peers.

The ski course for minis aged 4-5 years starts in the valley. When the driving skill K8, safe plow arch is mastered, the course takes place on the mountain.

My child is 3 1/2 years old. Can I book the ski course for minis?

For children of this age, we offer 30 minutes of private lessons.

Is it possible for our children to be in the same course?

If your children or friends' children are at the same level and the group maximum is not exceeded, it is no problem for them to be placed together in a group. Our recommendation: Book the course from Sunday. From Monday, the children will be assigned to existing courses.

What language is spoken in group classes?

Group lessons primarily take place in German and English. However, for the children's courses, we also have teachers who additionally speak Dutch.

We cannot guarantee a specific language for the group courses, but we are happy to make a note. We try to consider the language, however, skiing or snowboarding skills are the priority.

Will I get my money back if my children or I don't enjoy the group ski course?

If you make this decision on the first day of the course and cancel the course by 4:00 PM by phone AND email stating the reasons, we will charge the rate for one day. The difference will be transferred to your account. A course cancellation is never without reason. If it is due to us, we would appreciate it if you could speak to us beforehand.

Can a group course be rebooked into a private course?

Yes, of course. The course fee will be calculated up to and including the day you reschedule. Please call us to arrange an appointment. Cancellations and rebookings can only be made at the ski school office.

An example: You have booked a 5-day course for your child and want to switch to private lessons after 2 days. The rebooking takes place on the 2nd day of the course after the course ends at 4:00 PM.

5-day ski course € 244,-
2-day ski course € 150,-
Credit € 94,-

If you reschedule in the morning of the 3rd course day, the 3-day course fee will be charged.

Can the course be rescheduled in bad weather?

No, if you have booked a course, there is no possibility to reschedule or cancel the course in case of bad weather or other events. Course cancellations due to weather-related influences (force majeure) will not be compensated.

How big are the groups?

  • Maximum of 6 people/group | 2h ski course for Minis ages 4 – 5 years
  • Maximum of 6 people/group | 2h ski course for adults
  • Maximum of 6 people/group | 2h youth ski course
  • Maximum of 6 people/group | 2h snowboard course
  • Maximum of 6 people/group | 2h Daily welcome course for beginners
  • Maximum of 6 people/group | 2h Junior Pro course

What Happens During a Storm Warning?

Safety comes first. Courses take place during lift operation. In case of imminent danger, all courses will be canceled and the children will be brought down to the valley as soon as possible. The ski school director makes the decision.

If the lift operation is suspended due to storm by 09:00 AM, we will inform you about the current measures on the Panorama website.
